Light My Cage – Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: July 11, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the sale, installation, repair, maintenance, and related services provided by Light My Cage (“Contractor,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accepting an estimate, signing a proposal, or paying a deposit, the Customer (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Estimates

All estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Pricing is subject to change after expiration due to material costs, supplier pricing, or scope changes.

2. Deposits & Scheduling

• A 50% deposit is required to reserve an installation date.
• Projects are scheduled on a first-paid, first-served basis.
• Materials are ordered after the required deposit is received.
• Installation dates are estimates and may change due to weather, material availability, or other unforeseen circumstances.

3. Payments

• The remaining balance is due immediately upon substantial completion of the project unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• We accept approved financing, ACH, check, cash, and major credit cards.
• Past-due balances may be subject to applicable late fees, collection costs, and reasonable attorney’s fees where permitted by law.

4. Cancellations

• Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Projects canceled after materials have been ordered may be subject to a 20% restocking or cancellation fee, plus any non-refundable costs incurred.

5. Changes to Scope

Any requested additions, deletions, or changes after approval of the proposal may require a written change order and may result in additional charges, revised pricing, or scheduling delays.

6. Property Access

The Client agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to the property, work areas, utilities, and electrical outlets as required. Delays caused by restricted access may result in additional charges or rescheduling.

7. Underground Utilities & Irrigation

The Client is responsible for identifying private underground utilities, irrigation lines, invisible fences, landscape wiring, septic systems, or other concealed items not marked by public utility locating services. Light My Cage is not responsible for damage to unmarked private underground systems.

8. Weather Delays

Outdoor work is dependent upon safe weather conditions. We reserve the right to postpone work due to rain, lightning, excessive heat, hurricanes, flooding, or other unsafe conditions.

9. Workmanship Warranty

Light My Cage provides a one (1) year workmanship warranty covering installation defects from the date of project completion.

This warranty applies only to workmanship performed by Light My Cage and does not cover alterations, misuse, abuse, vandalism, accidents, or work performed by others.

10. Product Warranties

Products supplied by Light My Cage are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by product.

Light My Cage will assist customers with manufacturer warranty claims but cannot guarantee claim approval or replacement timelines.

11. Warranty Exclusions

The following are not covered under warranty:

• Lightning or power surges
• Flooding or other acts of nature
• Misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidents
• Unauthorized modifications or repairs
• Damage caused by third parties
• Normal aging, fading, or weathering
• Products not supplied by Light My Cage

12. Warranty Claims

Warranty requests must be submitted in writing and include photographs whenever possible. We reserve the right to inspect the installation before determining warranty coverage.

13. Photography

Unless otherwise requested in writing, Light My Cage may photograph or video completed projects for quality assurance, training, portfolio, website, and marketing purposes. We will not intentionally publish personally identifiable customer information.

14. Authorized Market Partners

Some projects may be completed by independently owned Authorized Market Partners operating under the Light My Cage brand. All Authorized Market Partners are required to follow Light My Cage’s installation standards and customer service requirements.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Light My Cage shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of our products or services.

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for the specific products or services giving rise to the claim.

16. Force Majeure

Light My Cage shall not be responsible for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, hurricanes, flooding, labor shortages, supply chain interruptions, governmental actions, or other unforeseen events.

17. Dispute Resolution

The parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation and mediation before initiating litigation.

If legal action becomes necessary, venue shall be in the appropriate state or federal court located in the State of Florida.

18. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with the approved estimate, proposal, and any written change orders, constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior discussions or understandings.

21. Acceptance

By approving an estimate, signing a proposal, scheduling services, or submitting a deposit, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
